A CLN lithium battery dealership is applied for through the Become a Partner form, and is agreed case by case rather than sold as a package: there is no application fee, and no fixed investment figure, because what a dealership needs depends on the product line and the market you are in. This page sets out the routes that exist, what decides the money, and what the company supplies.

Which partner route applies to you

The application form asks which kind of partner you want to be, and the answer changes who picks the enquiry up. A battery dealership in the ordinary sense — you buy, stock and sell — is the Sales Partners route. The others exist for different businesses and are listed here so you do not pick the wrong one and wait for the wrong team to call.

How to apply, step by step

There are four steps and none of them involves paying anybody to arrange it.

  1. Send the enquiry. Fill the Become a Partner form with your name, phone and email, choose the partner type, and use the message box properly — the enquiries that move fastest say the city and state, what you sell today, whether you have a shop or godown, and which product line you are interested in.
  2. A conversation with sales. What gets discussed is your market, the product lines that suit it, whether anyone already covers the area, and what opening stock makes sense. This is the step where the numbers you came here looking for actually get answered, because they depend on what you say in it.
  3. Terms in writing. Product lines, pricing, territory and any stock commitment, agreed for your case.
  4. Onboarding. Product and technical briefing, documentation from the catalogue, and the warranty and service route through CLN Care so you know where to send a customer before you need to.

What decides the investment

This is the question the search brings people here for, so it is worth answering honestly rather than with a number that reads well. CLN does not publish a dealership investment figure or a dealer margin. Not because they are secret, but because a single figure would be wrong for most of the people reading it: a dealer stocking e-rickshaw packs in a town with a large driver population carries different stock from one selling home inverter batteries in a city, and a partner selling industrial systems against firm orders may carry almost none.

What actually moves it:

Tell us your city and the line you have in mind and you get a real answer for your case. If you would rather understand the economics before you talk to anybody, our guide on what decides the cost of a lithium battery explains what sits inside the price you will be buying at.

What you would be selling

Most dealers take one part of the range rather than all of it, and it usually follows what you already sell and who you already sell to.

Who you would be signing with

Worth checking before you commit stock to anybody, and easy to check here. CLN Energy Limited is listed on the BSE SME platform under scrip code 544347, so the accounts and filings are public. The batteries are manufactured at the company's own 50,000 sq ft plant in Noida with more than 2 GWh of annual capacity — they are not bought in and rebadged, which is why warranty, spares and engineering answers come from the company that built the pack rather than from an importer's supplier.

Deployments you can look at rather than take on trust: 22,864 packs across BSNL's telecom network, 180 kWh behind the UPS at RailTel's Pondicherry command control centre, and signalling backup for Southern Railway at Chennai. Each is on its own project page with the real configuration.

Dealership questions

Lithium battery dealership kaise le? How do I get a CLN dealership?

Apply through the Become a Partner form and pick the partner type that matches what you want to do - for a dealership that is usually Sales Partners. Send your name, phone, email and a message saying where you are based, what you sell today, whether you have a shop or godown, and which product line interests you: e-rickshaw and e-auto packs, home and inverter batteries, or telecom and industrial systems. The sales team comes back to discuss it with you. There is no online payment step and no fee to apply - anyone asking you for money to arrange a CLN dealership is not doing so on our behalf.

What does a lithium battery dealership cost?

CLN does not publish an investment figure, and that is deliberate rather than evasive: what a dealership needs depends on the product line and the market you are in. A dealer stocking e-rickshaw packs in a town with a large driver population carries different stock from one selling home inverter batteries in a city, and a partner who sells industrial systems against orders may carry very little. What decides it is the product line, the opening stock you and the sales team agree, whether you need display and testing equipment, and your own premises and staff. Tell us your city and the line you have in mind and you will get a real answer for your case instead of a number from a page.

What margin does a battery dealer make?

Dealer pricing is set against the product line and the volume, so it is agreed with the sales team rather than listed publicly - and any page quoting you a fixed dealer margin for a whole industry is guessing. What moves it: which products you sell, the volume you commit to, whether you stock or sell against orders, and what you handle locally such as delivery, fitting and first-line service. Ask with your expected volume and product line in hand.

Do I get an exclusive territory?

Territory is discussed with each applicant rather than granted by a standing rule, because it depends on the product line, how much of the area you can actually cover and who already sells there. CLN works with a distributor network of 200+ and 100+ business partners, so in many districts there is already someone. The honest way to find out is to ask about your specific area - we would rather tell you it is taken than sign you into a market you cannot make money in.

Which products can I sell as a CLN dealer?

The range runs from a 1.28 kWh residential pack to a 5.015 MWh containerised system, and most dealers take one part of it rather than all: e-mobility packs for e-rickshaw (L3), e-auto (L5), 2-wheeler (L2), golf carts and material handling equipment, with IP67 and IP20 chargers; or stationary batteries for homes, inverters, telecom towers, data centres and industry. Which lines you are appointed for is part of the conversation, and it usually follows what you already sell and who you already sell to.

What support does CLN give a dealer?

Product and technical support from the engineering team for sizing and fitment questions, warranty handled by CLN directly rather than pushed back to you - 36 months on the e-mobility packs, 3 years on IP67 chargers - and the CLN Care service channel for registration and service requests, which your customers can use themselves. Marketing material and product documentation come from the catalogue. What is agreed for your case in terms of training, display stock and lead sharing is part of the discussion with the sales team.

Why take a dealership from CLN rather than an importer?

The batteries are manufactured at CLN's own plant in Noida - 50,000 sq ft, more than 2 GWh of annual capacity - rather than bought in and rebadged, so warranty, spares and engineering answers come from the company that built the pack. CLN Energy Limited is listed on the BSE SME platform under scrip code 544347, which means the accounts and the filings are public and you can check who you are signing with before you commit stock. Deployments include 22,864 packs across BSNL's telecom network, RailTel and Southern Railway - those are on the projects pages with their real configurations.

I am already a lead-acid battery dealer. Is the switch worth it?

It is a different sale rather than the same sale with a new product, and it is worth knowing that before you start. Lithium sells on total cost over years rather than on sticker price, so the conversation is about cycles, depth of discharge and replacement intervals - the arithmetic is set out in our guide on lead-acid against lithium for an e-rickshaw fleet. Against that, the packs need no watering or topping up, which removes most of the after-sales work a lead-acid dealer does, and the warranty sits with us.
