The challenge

Commercial and industrial sites need backup that works on both the DC and AC side, without a separate integrator for each half of the system.

Our solution

A 225 kWh / 120 kW integrated solution covering DC and AC side.

Scope of supply

  • 14 battery modules of 51.2V 314Ah
  • 2 RBMS, system canopy, HMI LCD, cables and electrical accessories
  • 2 x 60 kW hybrid inverter, WiFi, LV
  • ACDB, DCDB, junction isolator
  • Logistics, ground works and manpower on site
  • 5-year warranty

Application

Commercial and industrial battery solution

What changed

Greaves has a 225 kWh / 120 kW system that arrives as a working installation rather than a delivery of parts, and repeats from site to site without being redesigned.

One supplier holds both sides of the DC/AC boundary and one five-year warranty covers them, which removes the failure mode that makes multi-vendor storage expensive: a fault at three in the morning that produces a conversation between suppliers instead of a fix. For a rollout across multiple locations, a configuration that is known to work is worth more than one optimised per site.

Questions we are asked about this

For most commercial and industrial backup, yes. A 225 kWh / 120 kW system like this one carries a site through the outages a DG set was bought for, without fuel, servicing, noise or the inefficiency of a generator running at partial load. Sites with very long autonomy requirements often keep a generator as a second layer.

Both sides of the boundary. Here that is 14 LFP modules at 51.2V 314Ah with two rack BMS units on the DC side, two 60 kW hybrid inverters with ACDB, DCDB and junction isolation on the AC side, and the canopy, HMI display, cabling and WiFi monitoring around them — plus logistics, ground works and commissioning.

Five years on this configuration, from CLN Energy as the single supplier for the whole assembly rather than separate warranties on the battery, the inverter and the switchgear.

That is what it is designed for. This system is deployed across multiple Greaves locations as one configuration, which is what keeps a rollout from becoming a separate engineering project at every address.
