There is no water to top up, no vented cell in a room somebody had to give up, and no replacement cycle arriving every few years for an owner who was never told to expect one. For most homes, yes. A tubular inverter battery needs distilled water topped up, vents where it is installed, is heavy, and degrades on exactly the shallow daily cycling an Indian household subjects it to. LFP is sealed, needs nothing, is a fraction of the weight and volume, and is rated for thousands of cycles.
Size it to what you need running during a cut — lights, fans, refrigeration, connectivity, perhaps a pump — rather than to everything in the house. These installations carry a 4 kWh household load for around two hours on 9.6 kWh of storage.
Lithium iron phosphate is chosen over other lithium chemistries specifically for thermal stability, and every pack carries a BMS protecting against overcharge, deep discharge, short circuit and temperature excursion. The pack is sealed, so there is no venting into the room.
Rated for thousands of full cycles, which under normal household use is years of daily cycling rather than the two or three years a tubular battery typically gives on the same duty.
